What I have written below does not do "Lyndsey" justice. Its just a little background on our girl. We miss her dearly, right up to the end she was still as gorgeous as ever.

We were blessed to have "Lyndsey" as our Foundation Bitch. She entered our lives at age 4. We learned more from "Lyndsey" than we could ever learn from any person or book. She taught us so much about everything from raising puppies to daily life. People warned us when we got her that she was a fighter and "oh don't get to close to her she bites". "Lyndsey" was the sweetest, funniest, most wonderful girl. She walked into our home like she had always been there. "Lyndsey" was the best mother anyone could have asked for. She adored her kids and taught her kids how to be great parents too. I had a ball showing her in Juniors. It took 4 shows for us to get our 3 wins. Our first time in the AKC Juniors ring we took Best Junior at a Specialty. She loved to show. "Lyndsey" also loved to go camping it was some of her favorite times. "Lyndsey" taught herself to pick toys up when people would come to the door so she wouldn't bark she squeaked the toys. She taught some of her kids and grandkids to do that too. Her favorite toys were giant grunters. "Lynds" went through at least one a month she just adored her warthogs and monkeys. We used to call her "Smelly Pooh Bear", "Black Bear" or our "Grunting warthog". She loved that. "Lyndsey" also worked in 4-H with a boy who didn't have a dog. She loved it! We had her all trained to get her CD but each time we would trial her, half way through she would roll around and want to box and play! "Lyndsey" also loved it when you shoved her across the kitchen floor she would come barreling back to you to do it all over again.

"Lyndsey" gave us 3 gorgeous litters. When it came to look for a male to breed her to we went back to her breeder and saw "Rookie". He came barreling out of Sheila's motorhome. He had a fabulous temperament and was also a stunning dog. We wound up repeating that first litter. From those two litters we kept three "Bootsie", "Mikey" and "Kallie". For her last litter we went back to Sheila and Charlene and bred "Lyndsey" to their tri dog "Tate". We kept our first stud dog from this litter, "Jake".

"Lyndsey" is a bitch everybody hopes for. She never coarsened or aged. At 12 she still looked like she was 4. "Lyndsey" gave us the best start we could have ever hoped for. Now its our job to continue with her legacy. Its amazing how she stamped her look on her kids. And still today as I look at her Great-Great Granddaughter who is 7 weeks right now you can see "Lyndsey's" influence. Shortly after she turned 12 we had a small rumor removed from one of her mammary glands. She did fantastic after that surgery and acted like nothing happened, it was hard to keep her down. All of the sudden two days before we had to put her down, she started going down hill very quickly. Her cancer came back out of nowhere and spread. There was nothing more we could do. It took us all by surprise. We would have loved to have her for another 5 years at least, but it was her time to go. We all loved the time we did have with her. Not only do we miss her but so do her kids, they were all very close with her.

"Lyndsey" is greatly missed by all but we know she is not alone and is with us everyday. We owe everything that we are as Breeders today and everything we will be to "Lyndsey". We will always love you "Pooh Bear"!

Love,

Ken, Carolynn, Katie
